The last days of our trip and the end :-(

Joa liebe leutz, we have had some wonderful last days here in brasil. The last 10 days on Andys Fazenda were full of hard work but also of relaxing and a lot of fun. We enjoyed the time far away from any civilisation and beautiful (normal) people! No, that´s not the truth.... we met there some really nice people, like Marquinius the demigod ;-)

What did we? Awesome things, like building a fence, repair the worst street on the world, cut of a forest and and and....

On the picture you can see our two PS, Canario and Foginho, bullheaded horses but nice. So, yes we were riding even Malte ^^ and he did it very well.

We climed on the house mountain 5600 meter without an oxygen apparatus in one day. Only Marquinius was faster than we ;-) JOKE!!!

But we were climbing and have had a great view over valleys, forests and even mountains.

As we tried to wash gold under the nose of the IEF the Instituto Estadual de Florestas, they forbade it and followed us until we left them behind us. But we found a different spot to wash hihi.

Now we are back in Sao Paulo and have to pack our bags and leave :-(

ahhh, only 3 hours left and our trip is over.... okay schnukkelputzis we will see you in germany!

Late late late,... I know but that happened, when you have so many experiences.^^
First our steamboat ride through the amazonas, which was a kind of boring because you can only sleep in your hammock. But the landscape was beautiful, awesome... so much water ;-) Than some days in Manaus and a short jungle expedition, but only for me.
Malte couldn´t go because of his foot, you know he have had a scooter accident in Leticia.... check out the pictures! The jungle expedition was mas o menus because of the wet session.
To much water, rain and dirt^^ The bad thing was that you only saw green trees no animals.

Okay what else, after three days in Manaus we bought a ticket and flew to Salvador. Salvador is located on the coast and is a bubbly city with Caipoeira dancers and samba music. We drunk a lot of Caipirinhas with our new travel colleague and went to a jazz concert and different street parties. It was great, although there are a lot of poor people who badger you.

After four days in Slavador, we flew to Rio de Janeiro were we are at the moment and enjoy the beautiful beaches like Ipanema or Copacabana ^^
And of course.. of course girls with big boobs and asses ;-)
Everybody tries to present him- or herself like.... what ever! It´s a real show on the beaches of Rio. Until yet we didn´t do very much here and today it´s raining :-(

Our next plans are to stay in Rio until Tuesday?! We will see and than our last stop Sao Paulo. Andy is already excited because of us.

Morgen geht´s endlich los... nach langem hin und her gestresse um geld zu bekommen! Echt unglaublich mit was fuer einer Frechheit sich diese bloeden Bankleute behaupten. Aber dem nikki haelt keiner stand, habs geschafft.... hihi, nun kann endlich gefeiert werden.

Okay boys and girls, one day later and another post is coming ;-)
Today you will read and learn something about our day, our plans and our impression about the people in this wild jungle.^^

We slept very well with our new mosquito net, so this time it wasn´t a problem to stand up early. After a fresh juego and scrambelled eggs, we rent a really fast scooter for only 2 euro/h. Cheaper than a taxi ride and discovered Leticia on the columbien and Tabatingu on the brasilien site. Because of the cheap scooter rent we decided to do this tomorrow again but for the whole day to do our own jungle trip. Yeah man!

Trying to get cash with traveller checks, is horrible and didn´t work in the end... :-(
So one hint for all people who wants to travel.... bitte, please, por favor don´t exchange your money into this shit. You will have everywhere problems, even in the jungle ;-)
No really, traveller checks are bullshit, take a credit card and take care that there is enough money on your Giro. Not like us...

The next info is that we will catch a amazon steamboat on saturday at exactly 2 p.m..
Than we will be for 4 or 5 days on the amazonas, direction Manaus.

Okay now to our impression about the jungle people!
They are a kind of slow in thinking but that is nothing new, because everywhere in central america exist the same problem. So, why should they be smarter in the jungle? But they are all very nice and funny, maybe because of that.... hihi
The landscape is beautiful, just jungle and water^^

Ahh, and by the way my birthday is at friday so think on me.... ;-)

Columbia adieu !

Review over the last 2 weeks.....

Our 1. de mayo in Bogota! We were caught between protestors, policia and tear gas ...

We would only see what is going on in Bogota city and than it happened. We just took some pictures of the crowd as the first color bombs, stones and molotov cocktails were thrown on the police. The answer was clear and painful. They shoot with tear gas grenades and hunted the crowd ( and us ) !!!

However, we are still alive, although a fucking homeless junky bedaubed my (nikki) sweater with his blood.... UGLY ... and another tried to hurt me (nikki tambien) with a broken bottle!

The following days we went to more museums, watched more people, yeah,... just did more sight seeing ^^
We went a few times out with three nice columbians. Not only to make party,... also to drink and eat ;-)

No really, we have had a great time with them. They showed us the city, their family and really nice and exciting games like Tejo and Rana.

Last saturday we went with Tatjana to a water- & adventurepark. DAUMEN HOCH :-)

Now we will tell you our crazy Cali story ^^

Normaly, the buses will drive the whole night from Bogota to Cali but not this night!

We tried to catch a bus at 2 a.m. on tuesday. So we arrived on the terminal at 1 a.m. and bought a ticket for the next bus at 3 a.m., because the bus at 2 a.m. was canceled. So we wait until 2:50 a.m. only to hear that the bus at 3 a.m. was canceled too! Can you follow us?

They said that the next bus will drive at 7:30 a.m. .... GREAT ;-/

So we spent the night like a homeless on a bench.

12 1/2 hours later we arrived in Cali, but at this time it was night again. On the next day we had a look at Calis beautiful zoo and decided that to take a boat from Peru through the amazonas.

But all took another way, because of the bad party at this evening in Cali. So we drove back to our lovely city Bogota D.C. at this night. On the following day we booked a fly to Leticia, the biggest city in the world, which you can only achieve by boat or airplain.

The city is located in the amazon basin, where the three countries (brasil, peru and columbia) touch each other. So it is a perfect point to start our last adventure,... the amazon!

Today is monday and we just arrived after some turbulences on our two hours flyed in Leticia.

Found a nice Hotel and are already enjoying the sweating ;-)

Fear and Laughing in Bogota

¡Todo los dias, malte y yo mismo vivir a fondo!

It is crazy here in Bogota, a 7 million metropolis but the atmosphere is so unhurried.
The people are leisure and so friendly. They are happy to see and help us, siempre.

We did a lot the last week in bogota,... not only party although it is a really good place for that ;-)

Here is so much stuff to see and to do, visit one of the 20 museums or go to a football game, drink a natural jugo o cafe, walk daily some hours through the city, watch people, chill out and enjoy your life. That´s what we do..... ;-)

We have had the funniest party in our life, with some older Columbian chics...

Bogota is so exciting, you will never know what happens next.

Yesterday we went to an other city 1 1/2 hour from Bogota and visited in a salt mine the biggest underground Cathedral in the world!

Today we went to the military and to the police museum, there you can follow the whole story of Pablo Escobar, he was the biggest drug boss in Columbia or in the world.

Take a look to the new pictures, we will stay in bogota until sunday or monday!

San Blas a Columbia

Hey chicas y chicos,
Tanto para relatar ! ¿Donde empezar?
It was early ... to early for Malte and me because we didn´t sleep at this night. The Jeep drove us with some other people, inter alia a chica de Italia , to the caribbean site of panama.
There we captured a sailboot to the san blas islands ;-)

After 3 days of drinking with the capitano, relaxing in the sun and snorkeling between the islands, we kept sailing to columbia for 2 more days.
The sea was really bumpy and we all tried to slepp the whole day, because of our stomach we wouldn´t chuck up ....

However the sailingtrip was a nice experience for us. We met two really nice couples who did and do the same like us ... we not anymore but they! They also drive the Panamerica but completly.
Maybe we can join in by one of them ;-)

We stayed the first days in Cartagena and hang out with Mara, the italian bambina,at playa blanca a wonderful white sand beach. Two days ago we took an overnight bus to medellin and did yesterday a kind of to much party....
Our next plan is to drive to zona cafeteria where the best cafe is in todo el mundo!
Maybe tonight maybe tomorrow we will see.

Hola ihr Lieben!

Wir haben jetzt ein Segelboeoetchen nach Columbia gebucht. Am 09.04 . geht es los ueber die San Blas island´s fuer 3 Tage und dann 2 Tage offene See bis wir Suedamerika erreichen.

Ansonsten sind wir hier in Panama City versackt... also gibt es keine grossartigen News!
Wir kennen die Stadt mittlerweile so gut wie keine andere und uns gefaellt sie ;-)
Hier herrscht dauernd eine angenehme Stimmung und alle sind immer am feiern.

Things change...

I am really sorry, that we didn't let you know what was going on the last 10 days but so many changed ....
First of all is because of our car, now.... finally we sold it today! The people in Bocas didn't want to buy it because they are stupid^^
However, the new owner are now two other Germans who want to drive back... to California!
We inspire them with our great story and arranged the deal just today.
We got more than expected --> US $ 1600 <-- :-) Now we are HAPPY but also very SAD about it.

The other news are that we will go back to Costa Rica because of two ticas!
Well, we met them in Bocas and want to stay by them in San Jose ... :-)
Tomorrow we will let you more about it but now we have to go out.

Well, one last thing ... we are since a few days in Panama City and are really surprised what kind of city it is!

Goodbye ´Little Miss Sunshine´

Hey dudes!
Only a short info,... we just sold our lovely car to a Hollander on this island!
Almost... we will meet him tonight to the fourth time. He drove the van this morning and was charmed about the car. His plan is to cut through the car and build a stretch limo out of it!

Sounds all great, but we have to import the car first. We will do it with him at monday but it´s not that easy and cheap like it sounds. No choice for us... if there are no travellers who want to buy it, we have to import it!
I am really sad... maybe we will change our mind and ship it to germany.

Boca del Toro - island hopper

Tween corals and cristal clear water... islands and white chilled beaches, there you can find us... !
We just came back from a snorkel tour around ´boca del toro´ or better the island colon.
The last few days we relaxed at different beautiful beaches and just chilled out! ^^

We hang up some sheets of paper where we offer our little miss sunshine and met yesterday the first potential buyer from the island! We met her just again, she owns a hotel and a very good restaurant on the island and has already a VW Bus.... is very interested but her husband has to decide. So the chance is not to bad... but we had to go down with the price because of the import and paper work etc.... :-(

However, we enjoy every day... it is so ... how all the americans would saw.... amazing, awesome, incredible etc... I hate how they speak but it is amazing!

The new pictures will come soon, but now we have to go to a reggae party at the beach! ;-)

Señoras y Señors let me present you Panama the exotic america.

No way but it´s true,... Panama is like the united states with latinos & latinas and an exotic climate!
We crossed the border 3 days ago and stayed the first 2 nights in David, where at the moment a big fair is! Huge with tons of people and things to do. We are sry, that we didn´t take pictures from there, but we only went there at night because of the heat and the big party ^^

The other funny thing is that the Balboa, the original currency, were detached by the american Dollar. You feel as if you are in america especially where we are at the moment. We arrived yesterday in Bocas del Toro a carribean island in front of panama. Here is the perfect chill mixture between travellers, black people, nice music and the carribean flair! ;-)
The hostels are amazing, like little resorts....

Fast fertig

Halloechen Leutz,
wir sind nun fast fertig mit dem Haus und werden am Freitagmorgen nach Panama fahren. Das Haus zu streichen war doch mehr Arbeit als gedacht, so haben wir fast eine Woche gebraucht. Hatten aber natuerlich mehrere Pausen. Heute haben wir unsere ersten Erdbeben mit erlebt. Die ersten beiden Erdbeben waren heute Mittag. Ich (Malte) stand unter der Dusche und hatte im ersten Moment gar nicht gemerkt was los war. Als ich realisiert hatte, dass die Erde bebt war ich aber ganz schnell drausen und traf Niklas mit einen breiten Grinsen:"Geil unses erstes Erdbeben!!"
Danach gab es noch ein paar kleine Nachbeben. Und ebend gerade als wir einen Hamburger gegessen hatten war das Dritte, was ein bischen staerker war als die heute Morgen. Fuehlt sich schon komisch an und man bekommt weiche Kniee. Nichts fuer ungut, wir sind am Leben und es nichts in die Brueche gegangen. Haben unser Auto jetzt auch schon in Panama auf die Craiglist Online gestellt. http://panama.en.craigslist.org/cto/1067744713.html

Our new job !!!

we have some great news... especially for us ^^

The beins or the real house owner of the house where the beins lived until yesterday gave us the job to paint his house. We will earn US $250 and can live theire for free... we have our own house for the next few days here in Costa Rica ;-)

The beins are just travelling into the north to Texas. GOOD LUCK and keep going if somebody look weird^^

Tjoa, but the bad news are that we still have our car! It´s not bad we love miss sunshine, she is great but we run off time and their is so much left to see in south america....
By the way the last few days we stayed in Pavones and chilled out! look the Pictures^^

we leave golfito today and will stay for a few more days at playa Pavones a famous surfer beach near golfito!
The last 3 days we took a Taxi boat to the peninsula OSA and chilled out their at some really nice beaches... check out the new album!
We met randomly EJ again and hang out with her.... I thing malte have had a great time if you know what I mean ;-) ^^

Moin Moin,
seit dem letzten Mal schreiben hat sich eigentlich nicht so viel getan bis darauf, dass wir heute gekuendigt haben. Hans der Sklaventreiber ist einfach zu frech geworden. Er wollte nicht mehr fuer uns kochen und ausserdem ist er einfach nicht ganz klar im Kopf. Das andere Problem ist, dass sich das Arbeiten einfach nicht rentiert wenn wir noch in die Stadt fahren muessen um uns Essen zu kaufen. Aber egal der Kaese ist gegessen. Morgen wollen wir nochmal in den Nationalpark gegenueber um das Wochenende dort zu verbringen. Little Miss Sunshine lassen wir solange noch bei der deutschen Familie stehen. Abpropro Auto, wir haben Little Miss Sunshine gestern bei diversen Internetseiten fuer 1900 US Doller online gestellt und haben heute jede Menge feedback bekommen. Hoffen jetzt natuerlich das etwas Handfestes dabei ist. Ausserdem wissen wir noch nicht, wie wir das mit dem ganzen Papierkram hinbekommen und wo die Grenzen vom legalen und illigalen Verkauf liegen. Die andere Option waere es Little Miss Sunshine im Niemandsland zwischen den Grenzen von Costa Rica und Panama zu verkaufen. We will see!!!!
In diesem Sinne drueckt uns die Daumen, dass es klappt und Aufwiedersehen

Golfito

Hey hey...
We arrived a few days ago in Golfito and found a place to sleep and work by an old jungle daddy!
Banana Hans is his name and he is also from germany. We worked already two days for him and earn 1 Euro / hour! Isn´t it awesome? The Ticos earn more money as we.... ;-) but it´s fun.

Our first day: We stood up at 5.30 a.m. , got our breakfast and went with a machete and water into the jungle. We should cut off all twiners from the big trees and pick some bananas.
We carried a lot wood from everywhere into the rancho where we sleep and got lunch at 10 a.m.
It was increadible hot but we had to work two more hours. Our next job was to peel the wood which we carried before. At 12 p.m. we were ready and went swimming and fishing.

Our second day: Hotter than the day before and we should wash two boats completely. Not the best job for 1 Euro or 700 Colones / hour... however we did it! At night we went fishing again but hadn´t any success.

Our third day: We got a free day because Hans have to buy some stuff and food for us... yeah, we are two very hungry boys! At the moment we have the third day and we are sitting in the internet cafe, trying to sell our van and escape from the heat.

The endless summer....

Since Nicaragua we are hunting the waves....
After we left Granada, we stayed in 'San Juan del Sur' a little party town with some nice surfing spots. We met some really cool people from all over the world, made party like every day and went surfing. There are so many stories I want to tell... for example we drove with sunshine to a nice surfing spot only a few miles to the next beach. We got sun burned and be left there almost forever because of the road. A fucking bulldozer ripped of a part of the road.
It was a rampant road, very rampant, and we got stuck in it because of the fluffily ground.
It got already dark.... so it was horrible but all in all it took a happy end. The bulldozer pulled us up the hill ^^

Well, after four or five days in San Juan, we crossed the border to Costa Rica and have had a very nice dancing evening in Playa del Coco. We met a group of 20 girls from denmark.....
At the next day, we kept going to Jaco, where we stay at the moment! We also want to check out the next beach 'Hermosa' , one of the best surfer beaches in Costa Rica.

Last evening we met a very interesting guy from California or Switzerland ... it doesn't matter because he saw the whole world and told us about his time in Germany. He is a clown but not anybody he is Kevin the clown. He was in Germany very popular in the 90's and met Helmut Kohl and other important persons. We saw the newspaper articles and couldn't believe his life story. When the wall was fallen in Germany, he was the first person who published it to the nation. By the way... he also want to buy our VW Bus :-)

Okay boys and girls .... we want to go surfing now, it is awesome how hot it is. We need the ocean otherwise we will run dry.

Valentine´s Day

WE LOVE YOU! Sweet kisses from Costa Rica... we crossed the border today and stay at playa de Coco.

Granada

After 5 days staying in Granada, we will leave today and drive to San Juan del Sur. It seems to be a nice beach near the border of Costa Rica at the pazific coast.
We have had a great time although some fucking assholes stole our Backpacks out of the car at our first night....
However, we shared a room with three very cute young women, Amit from Israel, Jasmin from Switzerland and EJ from south Korea. Mostly we chill out and lived the day... ;-)
Last sunday we drove together to a beautiful and lonely beach. Swam in the cold ocean layed in the sun and enjoyed the time. On the way back we ate some pizza and listened to balcan beatbox & Co. You see, a perfect day on a perfect trip :-)
Something to Granada, it´s an old town with some beautiful buildings and a busy market... that´s it! I wish I could write more but I am hungry, time to have breakfast and time to awaken Malte.

culture & landscape brifing of central america

Auf Wunsch einiger Leser & Leserinnen, werde ich die Bilder und Eindruecke von Land & Leuten noch einmal versuchen in Worte zu fassen.

Von Californien bis nach Nicaragua..... bisher! ^^

Tjoa, landschaftlich tut sich hier so einiges und auch wieder gar nix,... Berge wohin man nur sieht, mit Jungle, ohne Jungle, Bananenplantagen zwischen nadeligen Bergwaeldern, Vulkane in allen Groessen und natuerlich viele, viele Fluesse. Seit wir den Sueden von Honduras passiert haben, bekommen wir hier eine Steppe zu Gesicht, vergleichbar mit der Afrikanischen Savanne!
Was fuer uns bisher immer mit am wichtigsten war, sind die Straende, welche auf der Pazifik Seite atemberaubend schoen sind. Waehrend die Straende der Karibik meist in Dreck ersticken, falls man ueberhaupt welche findet ;-) ... excepting the islands!
Aber ich finde ja, dass die Bilder das besser darstellen.

Bei den Leuten tut sich jedoch mehr als bei der Landschaft.
Zumal hier alle viel kleiner und brauner sind ;-) Ne Scherz beiseite, man merkt schon die Unterschiede von Land zu Land. Wir hatten den Eindruck bzw. die Erfahrung gemacht, dass die Mexikaner und Guatemaltesen bisher am freundlichsten waren, gefolgt von den Reggae hoerenden Afro Chillern in Belize. Was uns speziell zum Wahnsinn treibt, ist die extrem aufdringliche Art & Weise von Leuten auf der Strasse, die einem was andrehen bzw. haben wollen. Selbst nach dem 10´ten Mal ablehnen, nerven Sie weiter.
Ansonsten findet hier ueberall das Leben auf der Strasse statt, ein reinstes Gewusel und Chaos.
Zudem schlug die Zivilisation hier wohl ein wie eine Bombe, weil sich viele noch sehr babarisch benehmen ( pissen mitten auf die Strasse, rotzen ueberall hin auch in die Laeden und verschmutzen ihre Laender auf eine so undenklich katastrophale Art & Weise,... echt uebel ).
Traurig aber Wahr, der einzige Weg darraus ist wohl Bildung, also wirds noch so einige Jahre dauern bis Mittelamerika sauber ist....
Aber da wir zwei blonde, junge Burschen sind mit einem schicken gelben VW Bus, freuen sich sowieso immer alle uns zu sehen. Vor allem die Maedels schauen einen immer mit grossen dunklen Augen an, als ob sie uns verspeisen wollen!
Ehm,... so weit so gut, mehr in der naechsten Folge ;-)

Honduras

Hola hola ihr Leut, die keine Kommentare hinterlassen! Wir melden uns, also meldet euch gefaelligst auch... ;-)

Honduras haben wir nu schon hinter uns gelassen, wir duerften ja nur ne Woche bleiben aber des war schon okay, da wir dem Zeitplan ja sowieso hinterher sind. Nachdem wir Copan bestaunt hatten fuhren wir am naechsten Tag gleich weiter nach La Ceiba einer kleinen Stadt an der Karibik Kueste Honduras. Auf dem Weg dorthin haben wir Flo wieder frei gelassen^^, der dann den Direktbus nach Nicaragua genommen hat. Von San Francisco bis nach Honduras sind wir durch jeden Polizei-/Militaer Checkpoint ohne nennenswerte Probleme und mit einem breiten Grinsen durch geschluepft, doch an diesem Tag wollten Sie uns gleich zweimal F*****!!!
Das erste mal wollten Sie unverschaemter Weise 118 US $ haben, weil ich nicht angeschnallt war,... was totaler Schwachsinn ist, weil direkt neben uns Pik-Up´s mit 30 Personen auf der Ladeflaeche fuhren usw...
Nach Diskussionen und Erklaerungen, dass Sie von uns keinen Pfennig bekommen sind wir nach ca. 20 Minuten der Situation entkommen. Kurz darauf der naechste laestige Zwischenfall mit den honduranischen ¨hassle¨Beamten. Diesmal hiess es, kein festes Schuhwerk... ;-) aber auch das haben wir mit Sturheit laessig geloest! ;-)
Also kamen wir irgendwann abends in La Ceiba an, schliefen im Hostel Amsterdam, wo wir das Auto gleich illegal an Charlie, einem Ex-Vietnam Soldaten aus Canada...totaler Freak, haetten verkaufen koennen. Wir stattdessen aber nen lustigen Abend vor zogen ^^
Am naechsten Tag fuhren wir frueh morgens mit der Faehre nach Utila einer kleinen Insel vor Honduras. Utila ist eine ganz gechillte Insel wo man an jeder Ecke eine Tauchschule findet. Wir nisteten uns bei einer ein und verbrachten die meiste Zeit lesend in der Haengematte, waehrend es wie aus Kuebeln goss. War ja klar.... trotzdem ging ich zweimal tauchen, hab ja schon nen Schein, waehrend Malte schmollend zurueck blieb. Er haette ja auch gern einen Tauchschein gemacht, doch dazu hatten wir leider nicht genuegend Zeit. Das Tauchen war uebrigens super, obwohl es nicht so schoen bunt war, wie im Roten Meer. Ach ja, es gibt auf Utila eine Bar bzw. Atelier ¨Tree Tanic¨, wo sich ein Glasblaeser etwas ausgelassen hat. Einfach der Hammer... Bilder sagen mehr als Worte, also schaut sie euch an.
Nach drei Tagen gings wieder zurueck auf´s Festland und gleich in Richtung Grenze. Am naechsten Tag erreichten wir die Grenze zu Nicaragua gegen Abend und kamen auch hier ohne Probleme rueber. Ja, und nu sind wir in Leon und ab Morgen in Granada!

We are in Honduras and visited today again some ruins, named Copan ^^
Yeap, we just arrived here yesterday. Guatemala was so pretty that we decided to stay their some days longer than planned at first. So after our Pacaya tour, we drove to ' Lago Atitlan ' and lived there in a small chiller village named San Pedro. Some austrians and the german guy Flo, who we already met in mexico, have had the same plan. So we met them their and had a great time... :-)
YOU KNOW MAN ! After one week of relaxing we stepped on the gas again and drove to Monterrico. This is a small town at the Pazific coast of Guatemala. After annother two nice days between the black sand beach and the waves, we went on to the boarder of Honduras.
Here we are without money because of this fucking cajeros automaticos / ATM's in oxford english^^

Vulcano Pacaya overnight

Halloechen,
wir waren gestern auf dem aktiven Vulcan Pacaya. Sind mit einen Guide und 7 Gefaehrten 1 1/2 Stunden aufgestiegen und haben unser Camp auf etwa 2200 metern aufgeschlagen. Danach gab es einen wunderschoenen Sonnenuntergang zu bewundern und dazu Wein aus dem Tetrapack *mhhh lecker*. Das Problaemchen war leider nur das es Saukalt war und wir etwa Windstaerke 15 hatten. Um uns wieder aufzuwaermen sind wir bei Dunkelheit und als die letzten Touristen den Vulcan verlassen hatten eine weitere Stunde zu einem Lavafeld geklettert. Ein paar Marschmellows spaeter frischte der Wind noch mehr auf, sodass man sich nicht mehr auf den Beinen halten konnte. Also beschloss unser Guide, dass wir nun lieber wieder zurueck klettern sollten bevor es die ersten Opfer zu beklagen gibt. In der Nacht haben wir jeder nur ca. 1 Stunde geschlafen, da es wirklich nicht soooooo gemuedlich und warm war. Gegen 6 Uhr kamen wir wieder aus unseren Zelten gekrochen und waermten unsere Haende an einem frisch gebruehten Cafe. Der Abstieg war schnell und nicht weiter erwaehenenswert. Um 11 Uhr kamen wir wieder in Antigua an und wollten uns nur noch die Asche vom Koerper waschen und schlafen.
Fazit der Tour: WAR TOTAL GEIL!!!

¿Qué pasa, Calabaza?

Hola chicos y chicas,
it is now exactly one week ago as we arrived in Antigua. For the first five days, we stayed in the cheappest pension in Antigua. For only 37 Quetzales, round about 5 Dollar or 3,30 Euro, we got a small room with two beds and shared bathroom. Isn´t it Awsome? A shared kitchen was inclueded too. So we have had enough time to check out Antiguas spanish schools and decided to study by ´La Union´. Since monday we go again to school and each of us live by a guatemaltecan family. The school is amazing, nosotros hablamos todos los dias un poco mas español! Is that enough to show you an example, that we speak spanish?! ;-))
Yeah, and the life with our families is very exiting too, but totally different. Malte got the rich one and me the poor one.^^ The only thing which is really fucked up is that I get nearly nothing to eat! :-( How ever, we have a lot of fun and will hike a active vulcano at friday over night. So if we don´t fall into the lava we will return alive.

Bonita Guatemala

Japp, da melden Wir uns endlich mal wieder und haben viel zu erzaehlen!
Also, nach Silvester gings ja wieder ab auf die Strasse, die uns nach Rio Dulche oder auch ´suesser fluss´ so viel und viel mehr haben wir schon gelernt, ^^ brachte!
An diesem wunderschoenen Oertchen, von wo aus man ungefair ganz Guatemala per Boot erreichen kann, hatten wir fuer drei Naechte unser Quatier in einem Backpacker Hotel unter einer Bruecke bezogen! Wir schauten uns eine ehemals Spanische Festung zur Verteidigung der Piraten im 18´ten Jahrhundert an und paddelten mit nem Kanu etwas auf dem riesigen See bzw. da wo wir waren, war es noch ein fetter, breiter Fluss mit ueppiger Vegetation herrum ;-)
Und wie es dann eben so kommt, folgten zwei kack Tage, Wort-Woertlich!
Wir fuhren mal wieder den ganzen Tag, sahen dabei zwar halb Guatemala aber hatten am Ende des Tages auch absolut blanke Nerven! Erst nach Puerto Barrios, wo wir eigentlich ueber Nacht bleiben wollten, war uns aber zu dreckig. Also gings die Einbahnstrasse wieder zurueck ´gen Sueden zu einer weiteren Ausgrabungsstaette, Quirigua. Nach kurzer Besichtigung checkten wir das Doerfchen ... am Lago de Izabal aus, doch fanden auch dort keinen Platz zum Schlafen. Also gings auch diese Einbahnstrasse zurueck und mit Bleifuss Richtung Sueden... NATUERLICH!
Estanzuela war nun unser Ziel, welches wir auch verpassten, da es mittlerweile stock dunkel war. Also schliefen wir irgendwo in der Naehe auf ner Tanke, wo Malte uns aussem Auto aussperrte :-/ Nach ca. 20 Minuten, hatten wir das Auto geknackt, sind ja mittlerweile geuebt darin.^^ ( Das war mal ein doofer Tag etwas detalierter, den naesten wollt ihr bestimmt nicht so detailiert hoeren ) *hehe*
Also am naechsten Tag wieder frueh los, doch mir gings gar nicht gut, also musste Malte mal wieder ans Steuer nach langer Zeit. Wir beschlossen nach Salama zu fahren, wo wir uns eine Nacht ein Hotel nahmen! --> ICH WAR KRANK!
Aber zum Glueck nicht lange^^ .... am naechsten Tag gings dann ab nach Antigua doch zuvor mussten wir noch die Millionen Metropole Guatemala City durchqueren, was gar nicht mal so einfach ist, ohne Strassen Schilder!
Joa und nu sind wir schon seit genau 1 Woche in Antigua, aber dazu mehr in einem extra threat.

Flores -- Guatemala

Okay guys, this will be only a very short post!
We leave in a few minutes Flores and will drive to Puorto Barrios back to the carribean coast.
It is a long drive through Guatemalas jungle and here in guatemala, we don´t want to drive by night. The last 3 days here in Flores were great and relaxed. We celebrated new year with Flores habitans and visited yesterday Tikals Maya ruins.
Thanks again for the inviting to you robert, we are very happy about that.

JA, das ist Belize auf alle Faelle...
Wir waren nur ne knappe Woche in Belize, da es wirklich kein schoenes Land ist, ausgenommen der schwaerzeren Bevoelkerung und der allgegenwaertigen Reggae Musik ;-))
Ja, kein Scherz... in Belize gibt es einfach gar nix Interessantes ausser ein paar Hoehlen und den Jungel. Straende besitzt das Mini-Karibik-Land nicht(wegen der jaehrlichen Hurricans), aber dafuer jede Menge kaputte Haeuser und schlammige Strassen.
Was wir aber in Belize gemacht haben, war z.B. eine Hoehlen-Wasserfall Expedition. Zuerst gings ein Stueck durch den Jungel Belizians und dann fuer 4 Stunden tief in den Berg hinnein.
Mit Kletterausruestung und Schwimmweste folgten wir dem Fluss bis zu den unterirdischen Wasserfaellen und sahen dabei noch ein Haufen Maya Artefakte, wie nen kaputten Schaedel, Schmuck usw.
Wir sind dann ein paar Tage noch durchs Land gefahren und haben dabei wieder nen Stossdaempfer an den extrem kaputten Strassen zerhauen. Es hat fast nur geregnet und wir wurden so unglaublich doll zerstochen, dass wir absolut kein Bock hatten noch laenger in Belize zu bleiben, geschweige Silvester dort zu feiern. Also gings ab zur Grenzstadt San Ignacio bei Guatemala. Dort erlebten wir noch ein Teil der Stadt Geschichte Hautnahe mit. Wir wollten eigentlich nur schnell den Stossdaempfer tauschen, bevor er uns ganz zerbricht, doch dann kam alles ganz anders. Wir wurden auf nen Joint eingeladen und dabei erfuhren wir, dass die Familie, mit der wir grade chillten, die ersten Touristen mit Bootstouren in den Westen von Belize gebracht haben. Und zur Zeit trainieren Sie fuer das zweit Groesste Kanu Rennen auf der Welt,
die Routa Maya von San Ignacio bis nach Belize City. Das war echt ne Story mit dennen.
Also haben wir noch ne Nacht dort verbracht um am 31.12 nach Guatemala zu fahren.

Also nur ne kurze info noch, wir sind jetzt in Flores/Guatemala sind dort gut und mal anders ins neue Jahr gerutscht und .... ach ja wuenschen euch natuerlich auch ein frohes Neues!
